Welcome to Alec and Frank's blog pages about our home in Austwick, North Yorkshire. We have lived here since 4th October 2010 but inherited the property in August 2008 from Alec's family. Previously living in Kirkcaldy in the Kingdom of Fife for some thirty years we decided to take the plunge, move over the border to this very special place.Being people grounded in reality, we have taken another major step in deciding to open our home to the visitors to Austwick, establishing an informal bed and breakfast as we have two empty rooms, one a twin, the second a double with walk in power shower. Practical reason for this being we need to have an income but also we want to share the beauty that is the North Yorkshire National Park. Our home "Highfield" has a mature garden with views that will chill, relax and stun!
